First Game vs. Rays
First: How great was it to hear Tino and the Warrior together on YES?! !
Now as for the game:
The Price was right. Javy wasn’t.
Every Ray starter got a hit, Upton got 2. Nine of the 10 hits came in for runs.
Johnson & Thames got their first hits. So, a couple of the slow starters got out of the gate. But, with 4 out of 9 in the lineup with batting averages under 158, is it surprising that only 3 of our 8 hits turned into runs?
The Captain came through with hits and plays. Never waste an at bat. Never give up. Every game counts. Can you hear him boys? The Captain speaks with his actions. His demeanor in the game was deafening. I heard it in my living room. Come on, guys! Wake up!
